Cosmetic Surgery India

Cosmetic surgery is a discipline of medicine that is specifically concerned with maintaining a normal appearance, restoring it, or enhancing it through surgical and medical techniques. Cosmetic surgery can be performed on all areas of the body, as well as the head and neck.

Body Contouring Cosmetic Surgeries:
  • Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) – Done to remove excess skin from the abdomen and to tighten the abdominal muscles.

  • Breast Implants – Enlargement or augmentation using saline filled prosthesis.

  • Breast Lift – Commonly performed in conjunction with augmentation using implants.

  • Breast Reduction – Done to reduce, recontour and reshape breasts.

  • Gynecomastia – Breast reduction for men.

  • Calf Lift – Used to restore symmetry to the legs.

  • Liposuction – A very common procedure designed to permanently remove fatty tissue.

  • Thigh Lift – Removing excess skin and fat.

  • Upper Arm Lift – To remove excess, loose skin. Liposuction can remove excess fat as long as skin is still tight, but if the skin is not tight, an upper arm lift is the only solution.
Facial Cosmetic Surgeries:
  • Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery) – Corrects sagging or drooping eyelids and/or bags and bulges around the eyes, by removing excess skin and fat if necessary.

  • Facelift (Rhytidectomy) – Involves tightening of the facial and neck muscles and removing any excess skin, leaving a more youthful appearance.

  • Forehead Lift / Endoscopic Brow Lift – Designed to raise eyebrows and upper eyelids as well as softening deep frown lines between the eyebrows.

  • Genioplasty (Chin Implants) – Implanting a small synthetic implant over the natural bone to create a chin more suitable for the face.

  • Lip Implant – For those seeking a more permanent way of achieving full lips, lip implants are the answer. A procedure that can usually be done in five minutes per lip, using local anesthesia.

  • Malar Augmentation (Cheek/Facial Implants) – Skeletal augmentation of the face providing a more healthy and youthful appearance.

  • Otoplasty (Shaping of the ear) – Surgery done to correct deformed or protruding ears.

  • Rhinoplasty (Nose surgery) – Surgical procedure used to sculpt the nose, improving the shape and size.
Cosmetic surgery does not only involve surgical procedures, but also includes non-invasive treatments. To temporarily diminish the appearance of wrinkles there are:
  • Botox Injections

  • Restylane Treatment

  • Hylaform Treatment

  • Collagen Injections

  • Fat Injections – A treatment that injects the patient's own fat into their face. It is a safe, natural and non-allergenic alternative.
Facial rejuvenation is another form of cosmetic treatment:
  • Laser Resurfacing – A specialized beam of light energy is used to minimize wrinkles and lines on the face.

  • Thermage – A revolutionary non-surgical technique using radio frequency which produces heating of the deep dermis.  Thermage can be used to tighten loose skin and wrinkles and may also improve complexion and acne.

  • Chemical Peel – Treatment that exfoliate the skin’s top layers to reveal a softer and healthier skin. It is used to treat people prone to acne, damaged/hyper pigmented skin, due to environmental exposure. The strength of the treatment will depend on the individual’s skin type and the degree of skin damage.

  • Dermabrasion – Is a treatment where the skin’s surface is abraded or sanded using special diamond rotary instruments.  The surgeon works to reduce the skin’s surface depth and after healing takes place, the skin is smoother and has fewer irregularities.
Other cosmetic treatments include:
  • Sclerotherapy – The treatment for spider and varicose veins where a chemical (usually saline) solution is injected into the blood vessel causing it to collapse.

  • Hair Transplants – Involve removing hair from other areas of the scalp and replacing them into bald or thinning areas of the scalp.

Cosmetic Surgery France

The mention of France brings to our mind images of Gothic architecture, the Louvre museum, the Eiffel Tower, numerous Renaissance castles and towers, the Loire valley- the visual treat seems endless! Not just a great tourist destination, France remains arguably numero uno in terms of its healthcare services. Ranked first worldwide by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2001, France boasts of almost 79.73 years of average life expectancy at birth.

Undergoing a medical treatment in France is comparatively far less expensive than in the US or other European countries. To top it all, there are no long waiting lists for elective procedures; neither do patients need to seek pre-authorizations. Medical treatment in France is simply exceptional, thanks to the abundant number of established hospitals like the American Hospital of Paris, the Foch Hospital, the Henri Mondor, and Broussais University Hospital. Such complicated surgeries as cosmetic surgery, gastric banding, face-lift, and lipoplasty have been performed successfully under the supervision of the French healthcare system.

The renowned cosmetic surgeon and member of the French Board of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Foued Hamza, has contributed immensely to the success of the French medical system through his mastery in face surgery, breast surgery, and lipoplasty. Having completed his medical studies in Tunisia, Dr. Hamza moved to Paris to specialize in plastic and cosmetic surgery. He has worked in the greatest Parisian hospitals such as the Foch hospital, Henri Mondor and Saint Louis.

Most definitely a cultural hub, France is one of the most sought after tourist destinations of the world. Besides, its advanced medical technologies and world-class healthcare services qualify it to be regarded as a prospective hot spot for medical tourism.
